DesignLion was commissioned to conceptualize, direct, and produce a fully 3D-animated television commercial (TVC) for Valentino Fragrances, focusing on their iconic, rockstud-sculpted bottle design. To match Valentino’s haute couture fashion heritage, we developed an dark, high-contrast visual world that blends luxury automotive-grade product rendering with high-fashion cinematic pacing.

Our Approach: 3 Core Pillars
- Brand Understanding: We studied Valentino’s signature design language—juxtaposing edgy, punk-inspired rockstud architecture with refined Roman luxury. The animation honors this by highlighting the tactile contrast between the matte black finishes, sharp glass geometry, and the vibrant, high-fashion pink branding accents.
- Prowess in 3D Animation & Wireframing
We built the fragrance bottles from scratch using precision 3D modeling. By constructing detailed polygonal wireframes, we were able to program physics engines that allowed rockstud fragments to break away, shatter, and float dynamically in a zero-gravity luxury landscape. - Cinematic Lighting & Materiality: Our rendering pipeline prioritized hyper-realistic glass refraction and material texturing. We systematically animated dark dramatic key-lighting, soft backlights, and rhythmic camera pans to capture the way light breaks across hundreds of individual glass studs.

Structural 3D Modeling & Wireframes
- The Blueprint: The production started with meticulous CAD-to-3D asset conversion. We mapped the exact structural geometry of the Valentino bottle, testing the fracture points of the glass in a digital physics simulation environment to ensure the bottle’s destruction and assembly sequences looked structurally flawless.

By utilizing cutting-edge 3D modeling, particle dynamics, and high-fidelity rendering, DesignLion delivered a broadcast-ready television commercial. The project stands as a testament to our ability to translate haute couture luxury into captivating, high-end commercial animation.
